take the harder path

If you’re someone who wants to make improvement or create something, then it’s quite probable that you have come up against the feeling of it being too damn hard. The tasks might seem insurmountable & your goal might feel impossible to reach. It becomes not just a mountain in front of you, but an entire bloody range of them.

I’ve been there before & actually I’m there right now. The benefit of being there before, is that I know it’s doable, as I’ve proven it to myself by the doing.

However I have also proven to myself that I can’t do something, by giving up.

I want to let you know, that down is a hell of a lot easier than up. Giving up, means doing nothing. It’s easy to accomplish nothing.

Choosing the difficult path up, takes determination, grit & vision as a base line, but the doing parts are actually pretty easy when you take it step by step.

It takes personal responsibility, self belief, expecting more from yourself & wanting more for yourself. It’s choosing the difficult option sure, but if you know where you’re going; then put your head down & just keep plodding along in that direction. You’ll eventually get there, I promise.

“When you dare aspire upward, you reveal the inadequacy of the present and the promise of the future.”

Jordan Peterson.
