banking health

There’s a link between money & health, which makes them more similar than you might think.

Have you ever noticed that however much money you have, you always spend to your means? A bit more in the account & you can afford that jumper or coat that you’ve been wanting for ages. Maybe you can finally afford that bike or car or even mortgage. Earn more & we simply spend more. If we don’t actively put some away, it’ll mysteriously not be there when we’re in a spot.

So with money we spend what we have, but if something crops up - it’s wise to have some savings put away to dig into. If we don’t have that, we’re not prepared. Quite possibly we’re in deep shit & have to start scrambling around trying to pull it together. Or we can’t & the problem gets worse.

The health of our bodies works in a similar way. Our crazy human minds have this tendency to push our physical & mental health way beyond its’ means & we rarely think about how to sustain that or if we can really afford to to begin with.

We need to build the savings behind us, so that if something crops up, we have the savings’ in the tank to be able to deal with it.

The solution works in exactly the same way for both money & health - all we need to do is put into our savings, bit by bit.. A small amount on a regular basis adds up without you even realising it & you’re laughing if a problem arises. Prepared. Giving you the comfort of knowing you have the fallback, but also the potential to be able to do more fun things with it.

For money, you might ignore that slipped tile on the roof in the hope that it sorts itself out. Until the roof collapses.

For health, you might ignore the tweak in your bank in the hope that it sorts itself out. Until your back completely goes.

In short, when we look after our money & health bit by bit on a regular basis & it will look after us when we need it

Build regular healthy habits into your life, so they build up your safety cushion. Movement, breathwork, nutrition, sleep, mental & emotional wellbeing, community & awareness.
